Sixth Annual “Big Show” at Silas Marder Gallery: 53 Artists, 159 Canvases

THE BIG SHOW opens at Silas Marder Gallery on Sat. May 21 with Opening Reception from 5-9 pm. This exhibition, which runs through June 22 has become a favorite event for the local community and attracts 300-500 people. Each year over 50 artists participate, and are an eclectic mix of international emerging and established talent. Artists are given 3, 8 X 10’ blank canvases and are asked to reflect on where they are in their careers. This year's artists includes Billy Sullivan, Giancarlo Impiglia, and Michelle Suna whose series entitled, ’Japan 3.11.11, #'s 1-3’ honors the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Disaster.
