| Description |
Robert Adams will discuss issues relative to social, urban and atmospheric toxicity and how it relates to urbanization. Growing exponentially in number, Chroma[o]sapiens produce techniques that specify new terms for architecture, construction culture and the euphoria of making. Exploring issues from the Anthropocene, to pharmaceutically enhanced sensations of painlessness, to the high-speed urbanization of China, to Detroit and the unmaking and remaking of the city, this survey of actions co-produce new urban practices within an increasingly differentiated social-civic body. Robert Adams is Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan.
