[James Brooks in our Volkswagen Touareg V6 TDI] Team Hampton left the Range Rover at home this weekend and tried out the latest Green car from VW.  The VW Touareg TDI pronounced "tore-reg" got 25 miles per gallon on the Montauk highway (quite a difference in our gas bill this weekend!) Also, it runs on diesel.  We took the thing all over, starting at the Thrillist party in Southampton. Here's some things we learned...

-James is a phenomenal driver, Sarah (K), not so much.... and I am an okay DJ (if I do say so myself - Sirius Radio may have played a small part).

-The car runs as smooth as air, and has some serious get up.

-The '90s Sirius channel was a resounding favorite.

The trunk is big enough to fit groceries for your Hamptons BBQ and....a grown man:

The Touareg got us home safety during a treacherous storm on Sunday night, and was comfortable to sit in 3 hours of traffic back.

But, most importantly, in the Touareg, the GofG crew surprisingly had zero fights (save for a couple of music changes), which I consider to be the signs of a great experience!
