It was another one of those parties where you should have left the heels at home. Familiar Hamptons faces such as Cynthia RowleyBill Powers and Julian Schnabel, along with many more, came out to Montauk's Navy Beach for the celebration of Blackwell Rum. Guests made their way to the Living Room Restaurant on Wednesday night for BOMB magazine's 2nd Annual Crayfish and Cocktails Summer Celebration. Mary Heilmann and Jenny Ljungberg, owners of The Maidstone, and Betsy Sussler, Editor-in-Chief of BOMB took part in the lavish event in response to last year's overwhelming success. Early on, guests enjoyed cocktails, Swedish hors d’œuvres, funny hats and bibs, and a limited-edition crayfish poster by Michael Williams. Those invited to dinner enjoyed a meal prepared by Executive Chef James Carpenter and a guest appearance by Swedish based Consulting Chef Bjorn Ericsson. More»

Last night was totally "girls night" at the Gail Rothwell boutique in East Hampton. Retailer Gail Rothwell opened her doors for the East Hampton Shop at Sunset night to benefit The Retreat, the only women's shelter in East End. Guests enjoyed trunk shows featuring Amy Conway's signature jewelry collection, music, special offers and light refreshments. The night marked the first initiative benefiting The Retreat which apparently, according to director Jeffrey Friedman, was in need of funds to assist women and children in crisis at its the demand for its services has increased. "We are grateful for the support of Gail Rothwell and Amy Conway," he told Hamptons.com. More»

Friday night New York City’s most prominent art scene socialites gathered in East Hampton to celebrate the Guild Hall Summer Gala.The Gala celebrated artist Richard Prince with a preview of his new exhibit “Covering Pollock”, who with the use of iconic brands illustrates our obsession and fascination to brand labels, fame and lifestyle. Alec Baldwin hosted the event as Master of Ceremonies, which included a cocktail party in the garden of a historic estate followed by a dinner. Guests such as Richard Prince, Martha Stewart, Dina Merril, Pam and Edward Pantzer, Matthew and Stacey Bronfman, Robert A. Stern, Richard Steinberg, Larry Gagosian, Robert and Caryn Nederlander, along with many others, danced the night away as DJ Alexandra Richards spun.

If you're an avid reader then I'm sure you didn't miss out on East Hampton's 7th annual Authors Night. But in case you did, here's a recap. Co-chairs Alec Baldwin and Barbara Goldsmith hosted the event with honorary co-chairs Robert A. Caro, Dick Cavett, Nelson DeMille and Michael Connelly. More than 160 authors showed their stuff raising approximately $200,000 for the East Hampton Library.

Well-known authors Georgina Bloomberg, Jennet Conant, Kathy Freston, Victoria Hagan, Shere Hite, Duane Hampton, Katie Lee, Robert Lipsyte, Susan Lucci, Jeffrey Lyons, Adam Ross, Andrew Ross Sorkin, Beth Ostrosky Stern and Colson Whitehead set up shop under the library ground's white tents. Guests munched on hors d'oeuvres and wine while mingling with the authors and buying their "personally inscribed" books. More»

It was a starry night at Cinema Society & Showtime's Homeland Premiere on Saturday, literally. From dapper actors to the gorgeous fashionistas, the long list of affluent guests all showed up for the film's screening and party under the full August moon. Actors included Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Morena Baccarin, Mandy Patinkin, Kiefer Sutherland, Hugh Dancy, Matthew Broderick, Gabourey Sidibe, John Benjamin Hickey, Melissa George and Steve Guttenberg. Last Friday night launched the Soledad O'Brien and Brad Raymond Foundation, a charity that provides scholarships to young women, in Bridgehampton for a jazz-themed night of fun. Guests included Star Jones, Russell Simmons with actress Melissa George, jazz stars Kirk Frankin and Ron Carter, and event chairs Cicely Tyson and Pharrell Williams.

The shit show went down on Sunday night with the finest of trash. The Gail Schoentag Gallery in Sag Harbor presented "Limits and Desperate" on Saturday evening. The event, hosted by Social Life Magazine, unveiled the work of eight internationally acclaimed artists. The reception, which also served as a kickoff party for the upcoming American Cancer Society’s Festive in Flip Flops benefit, brought out over 300 art lovers. More»
