8th Annual Hamptons Golf Classic Gets Rained Out, But Has High Hopes For Next Year

by Sam Bobley · June 28, 2012

The 8th Annual Hamptons Golf Classic was unfortunately cancelled this year due to extreme weather conditions. The course at Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club was not suitable for play following severe rain which caused flooding and power outages on the course as well as in the clubhouse.

In order to persevere through the weather, Zev Norotsky and his team threw together a hospitality initiative that hosted players and sponsors for the remainder of the afternoon. Although they didn't get to play golf, the guests were given an opportunity to sample sponsored products from the likes of Zino Platinum Cigars, Vine Smoothie, Miller64, Smartwater, Perrier-Jouet Champagne, and many others.

In addition to that, each of the 250+ VIP guests were issued vouchers redeemable for a round of golf with a friend at the Hampton Hills Club later this summer. Rain definitely put a slight damper on this years event, but we are already looking forward to the 9th Annual Golf Classic which will take place on June 24th, 2013, and hopefully will have appropriate weather.
