Lose Your Credit Card On The Beach In Amagansett? Don't Worry, Alexandra Richards Found It

by Guest of A Guest · July 25, 2023

Has anyone ever looked cooler collecting trash?

This past Sunday morning, Alexandra Richards traded in her usual stylish accessories for a pair of gardening gloves, a hip-high "beach bag" and a handy trash picker.

For years, the model slash DJ has been a supporter and Trustee of Project Zero's critical work to protect and restore the ocean, leading beach clean ups and helping spread awareness for the cause. On a mission to tackle the sand at Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett, a group of twenty followed the It Girl's example and scoured the coastline for debris.

Bottles, plastic scraps, balloons, and more filled up five bags in under an hour, with Alexandra herself spotting the funniest find of the day - a credit card of some poor Hamptons stereotype (his name ended in "III" if you catch our drift) buried in the sand.

Sponsored by Bottomline Concepts, the morning cleaning session flowed into an afternoon art auction at Moby's. Alexandra provided the soundtrack while guests like Christie Brinkley flitted about the hot spot's garden, and took a seat in the top item up for sale - a Garia Luxury Golf Car painted by renowned street artist Bradley Theodore.

Bids for the car will begin at $25,000 and 100% of proceeds will be donated to Project Zero.
