Bringing top-notch dining, driving, and socializing to the Hamptons, The Estate hosted the launch of the newest Jaguar model with a poolside BBQ and, of course, test drive course to let guests see for themselves how it feels to be "Dipped in Platinum."
Last Saturday, Jaguar, Saveur Magazine, Abe & Arthur's and Pat La Freida Meats hosted the Dipped In Platinum: Summer BBQ showcasing the all-new Jaguar XJ at The Estate in Sag Harbor. Hamptonites and VIPs including Eugene Remm, Linda and Jeffrey Chodorow, Caroline Hirsch, Andrew Fox, Ron Berger and Albert, Joey and Ricky Braha were treated to an exclusive first look at the Jaguar XJ while test driving the vehicles on a scenic Hamptons route. After the Ride & Drive, guests enjoyed an afternoon barbecue by Chef Franklin Becker of Abe & Arthur's Restaurant with food catered by Pat La Freida meats.
One of the most highly anticipated new luxury products to hit the market in 2010, the all-new XJ reflects a clarity of vision that defies preconceptions and transforms the idea of a luxury sedan: a contemporary luxury car that is beautiful, exhilarating and sustainable. Though on such a sweltering day, we were a little tempted to take the plunge and make use of the empty (and tempting) swimming pool, we settled for Absolut cocktails and the Jag's supercharged AC system to keep us cool.
