Red Bull Sound Select kicked off the 4th of July festivities out east with their three-day music event that took place at some of the staple hot spots in Montauk. For the first night of their weekend long event, Red Bull Sound Select presented curated performances by Nothing, Tontons, and Bad Girlfriend at Ruschmeyer's. Click through our slideshow to get more information on the bands and see the highlights from the weekend in Montauk.

NOTHING, a four piece punk band from Philly, started out the night with a ton of energy, performing some of their hits ""Bent Nail" and "Downward Years to Come." Next to take the stage was Houston indie rock group, The Tontons. Lead singer Asli Omar showed her sweet and sassy sides as she belted out songs from their new album, "Make Out King and Other Stories of Love." To end the night, one of our favorite bands, Bad Girlfriend, took over the makeshift stage with their fan favorite songs "Feelings" and "Tricky." Even though the torrential downpour pushed the show inside (and delayed the opening act by an hour), guests were in the rock and roll spirit all night and didn't let a little rain ruin their 4th of July plans.
