Ever wonder where all the socialites are gathering on Friday nights in the Hamptons? Well thanks to the recently launched Hamptons Social Series, you can say hello to the place to be for Friday night dinner in the Hamptons.
Every Friday night this summer, starting just a few short weeks ago, Lily Pond opens its doors to a handful of prominent Hamptons names to eat, drink, and dance in good company and for a good cause. Each week's dinner is hosted by a different notable Hamptons name and benefits a different charity. The debut weekend, hosted by Tatiana and Campion Platt, supported the Best Buddies foundation; this past weekend featured Jill and Bobby Zarin to honor Help For Orphans International.

This upcoming Friday, we look forward to spending the evening with polo star Nic Roldan, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, then Countess LuAnn de Lesseps honoring ACE Partnership for the Homeless on August 6th and Sonja Morgan saluting the American Friends of Blerancourt on August 20th.

The day when these schmatta selling yentas, d list celebs, party crashers, and siliconed reality show whores will be deemed "socialites" will never come. How low the Hamptons has fallen if these dregs are deemed "prominent" out there. It is no wonder that the few nice people left out there never venture beyond the hedgerows and the majority have forsaken the place entirely.
