TOMS Shoes Take Over Montauk

Go here for more photos from the TOMS Shoes Beach Party!

Celebrating the arrival of the TOMS shoes brand to the Sole East pop-up shop Edition No. 003 (as well as the overall awesomeness of the brand), founder Blake Mycoskie and a myriad of Montaukians gathered on the lawn of the hotel for BBQ, bocce, and...shoe painting. It was as you'd expect a typical Montauk beach party to look - girls with tousled beach-blonde waves running around in TOMS espadrilles, boys playing bocce ball, a drum circle parading their way through the crowd - just with one extra twist. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase a pair of TOMS and either decorate them to their liking, or have one of three artists on-hand do a custom design. Founder and Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie hosted the event, chatting with guests including Lauren and Ashley Bush and Dylan and David Lauren, amongst local VIPs like Surf Lodge co-owner, Rob McKinley, and other friends of TOMS shoes. And as always, for every purchase of TOMS made at the BBQ, a new pair of shoes is provided to a child in need.

In between games of bocce and painting shoes, guests made their way over to the pop-up shop, Edition .003 Montauk, to peruse the other merchandise. Carrying some of our favorite brands, from LNA t-shirts to A.P.C. rompers and rag & bone tops, we couldn't help but walk out with a few extra additions to our wardrobes. Check out both locations - Southampton and Montauk - for cute and quirky pieces, as well as TOMS Shoes, which will be in stock through September 7th.
