The Whaling Museum, Sag Harbor
As quaint as the original whaling days in the 1800s, Sag Harbor is the perfect destination for dinner and ice cream. In times of rain showers, the Whaling Museum can be the perfect place to take shelter. Located in a breathtaking 1845 Greek Revival Mansion, built by Benjamin Hutting, the museum is filled with artifacts dedicated to the whaling profession - including a 100 year old whale jaw bone, various weapons, and samples of whale oil.
