[Photo by Tim Robinson] Drink This. In New Orleans, Tulane students frequently talk about stopping at these things called, Daq. Shack's, short for Daiquiri Shacks. These establishments are essentially like ice cream shops but instead of serving ice cream they have slushy machines filled with different varieties of pre-made frozen alcoholic daiquiri's. It is unfortunate that this trend has not caught on in the Northeast or in the Hamptons, because we can see it being a huge hit.
Regardless, the summer time is the perfect season to embrace the idea of frozen fruitilicious drinks, so enjoy today's recipe for a Fresh Papaya-Rum Daqiuri. Ingredients and directions, courtesy of iVillage, below...

1 oz. coconut rum
Juice of 1/2 lime
3/4 c. chopped ripe papaya
1 tsp. superfine sugar, or to taste
