[Social Life Magazine gift bag] The recession seemingly holds no strength towards the East End social calendar as parties and events keep adding up as the summer moves on. However, after two weeks and about 10 parties, all we have to show for it is a Hamptons magazine, a hardcover novel, and a box of eco-friendly pooper scooper bags? Um...Really? Where's the swag? What happened to the gift bags full of loot? Make-up, hair products, gift certificates, an occasional trip to the spa? It looks like our troublesome economy is not as far away as the party go-ers and throwers would like to believe and the days of relying on a gift bag on your way out of a party might now be considered expecting too much...
