by BRITTA LOFGREN · July 1, 2010

    Whatever Floats Your Boat...

Whether you're docking the yacht at East Hampton Point or actually going out for a sail, this outfit will take you from day to night (or even to Day & Night) in perfect Hamptons yacht attire.

While St. James may be a French brand, their clothes still exude a nautical all-American vibe in those bright reds and deep navys.  Paired with crisp white shorts and a pair of these bright blue patent top-siders, you're set for whatever waves may come your way.

    Life's a beach...

BBQs, clambakes, or just laid-back lounging in the sand, beach parties should be the easiest occasions to dress for, but somehow always end up causing the most strife.  Remember, you will be on a beach.  Beach equals sand.  And sand equals broken ankles and Britney Spears-esque flasher moments for girls in skanky skirts and stilettos.  Play it cool with some sensible duds you'd likely find on a more Montauk-bound crew.  And don't forget, it's ALWAYS colder on the beach- bring a scarf, and maybe even something to keep you active while you're out there for hours.

    Sequins and Stilettos...

So maybe the only "fireworks" you'll be seeing are the sparklers coming out of your bottle of champagne, or flying between the two drunk kids making out in the corner.  Either way, if you're hitting the club scene this weekend, you best take a moment to remember the real reason these clubs are throwing such extravagant parties: money the USA!  Whether you go for white hot, fire engine red, electric blue, or maybe even a combo of all three, take this opportunity to buy a new outfit celebrate our fine country.
