Clothes Make The Girl

Or, in this case, the hat makes the girl.  Summer chic in a straw hat and linen sweater, this girl was the epitome of subtle summer style at the VIP Shopping Event with Kimberly Garrett at Obligato in East Hampton.

While we usually reach for neons and brights for the summer season...nothing makes a good tan pop better than a punchy coral sweater...there's something oh-so-Hamptons about this beige get-up. The muted colors, minimal jewelry and casually pushed-up sleeves instantly impart that this lovely Hamptons fashionista enjoys lounging on the beach with an iced coffee and a good book.  Her laid-back low ponytail and funky hat complete the winning outfit and add a little sass.

Today's "Clothes Make the Girl" flawlessly pulls off the effortless-chic look so beloved of summer towns across America since the beginning of style.  Basically, she makes us want to forgo our summer brights and sport a new wardrobe in earth-tones...and that's a tough feat.
