Summer Beauty Roundup!

Although summer style is all about being carefree and low maintenance, your makeup shouldn't be. Buuuut at the same time wearing a full face of makeup at the beach or by the pool will make you look like a big weirdo. So we've rounded up a list of tips and products to help you reach a happy medium.

First and most importantly is the application of sunscreen. If you apply your makeup too son after applying sunscreen, you''' be a big, smeary, melty mess. Bad scene. To avoid this crisis, wait about 20 minutes to put your face on. Try Topix Citrix Antioxidant Sunscreen SPF 30:

its oil free, which will prevent breakouts, and wont mess with your makeup.

[GofG] Sunburn is just not a good look. Sorry bros.

If you're going to the beach, forget about foundation. It's going to run, smudge, and you're going to sweat it off anyway especially in humid weather. If you absolutely can't go without it, blend a little but of it in your sunscreen, but you're better off without it. (The same goes for those humid nights. Minimal makeup is best)

Mascara isn't a bad call, as long as it's waterproof. A lengthening formula is best, volumizing or thickening will create clumps that make flake off later, which, frankly, is just as awkward as raccoon eyes. Maybelline Define A Lash Waterproof Lengthening mascara is cheap enough that you wont be bummed when you get sand in the wand.

When you're not at the beach, but need coverage Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation SPF 15 is light and feels about the same way tinted moisturizer does. The SPF is a major summer bonus too of course. This, along with a dab a bronzer (powder probably works best, it can help combat any shine) on your forehead, temples, chin, nose, above your cheekbones, eyelids, and the apples of your cheek. (Did you get all that?) Swipe on some blush and you look fresh and natural and not smudgey!
