Tommy Hilfiger Pops-Up With An East Hampton Home

by Chelsea Burcz · May 5, 2011

Need a place to stock up your Hamptons wardrobe? This place sounds perfect - Tommy Hilfiger has popped-up, right smack in the middle of Gansevoort Plaza at Little West 12th Street and Ninth Avenue, with a store that is modeled after an East Hampton beach house. The designer is doing a limited-edition collection called "Prep World," with the author of The Official Preppy Handbook, Lisa Birnbach. WWD writes that collection "will include 60 pieces that celebrate Hilfiger's preppy classics with a twist, accessorized with such accoutrements as boat shoes, duck boots, Ping-Pong paddles and badminton rackets." The cottage will be on the move soon though, plans are to move it to two other US cities, as well foreign ones, including Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Stockholm, Madrid, Belgium, and Tokyo, so stop in while you can!
