Montauk Beaches: Ditch Plains
#DITCH PLAINS ON INSTAGRAM = 523 PHOTOS
Ditch Plains beach is the first stop off the train for many hampsters. It is the only beach with ample food trucks, which makes them feel right at home. It's also the main beach to pretend you are a surfer. Hampsters see surfing as the obvious sport to distinguish themselves from the typical hipsters back home.
Rating: 4 Fedoras. This beach is rift with hampsters. But, it's still a public beach so you will see families and (few) locals peppered throughout.

Sorry, but wasn't it the brilliant booksellers at BookHampton that baptized the great unwashed "Hampsters?" According to the New Yorker and the Village Voice it was. [blogs.villagevoice.com]

The gig shack is not owned by locals. The people who own it lived in NYC and had a house out here. SO they are NOT LOCALS!!!!! None of them were born and raised out here year round. Check your facts. This is just one of the many false statements that I have read on this craptastic site!
