After a rough winter, it seemed like this was never going to happen: the new owners of Surf Lodge have finally settled and all citations and violations have been dismissed.
According to Dan's Hamptons, the case was settled earlier this week for $100,000 -- the largest settlement on record for the Town of East Hampton.
The new owners have vowed to make the Montauk hot spot more family friendly, and starting the summer off with a clean slate is a good first step to changing the Surf Lodge's image.
Let's hope the Surf Lodge can avoid all the pitfalls they ran into last summer!
