As we've already updated you, last year's partially rained out Escape to New York is heading back to Montauk this year, but rather as a "boutique celebration" of art, food, fashion, music, yoga and film. And with a new name, Escape To Montauk will be held at Sole East on August 3rd to the 5th.
Although the full musical lineup has yet to be released, so far the confirmed talent includes The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr DJ Set, DJ Michaelangelo L'Acqua and Saul Kurts, a rather out there collection of musical guests.

What else can you expect from Escape to Montauk? Well a fashion pop-up village, in addition to installation and performance art. Escape founder Rocco Gardner has positive hopes for this new festival-like experience, explaining that "this is a slightly different event from last year's "Escape to New York" in that Escape to Montauk is a small event, suited to the local area. We work hard at Escape, whether it's with a Tribe or a beachside community, to tailor our event and to fit in with each of our hosts in an appropriate manner."
While admission is still going to be free, VIP passes can be purchased in advance for $20 to ensure your admittance to the event and will provide you select discounts of activities, retail, food and drinks. Oh, and the dress code is use your imagination. Which I'm assuming is code for "get weird."
