Stand By Me
Starring: Wil Wheaton, River Pheonix, Corey Feldman and a chubby Jerry O'Connell
Plot: Over Labor Day Weekend 1959, four friends set out to find the body of a missing boy.
Why We Love It: Godie says it best: "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?" Before Magic Mike or The Hangover, we had this group of buddies. The movie balances between humor and drama, leaving the viewer on an emotional roller-coaster. River Pheonix's performance makes us wonder where he would be today if he was still around.
