Looks like you have bad info. I know for a fact he spent over $10k and had a great time!
In regards to THIS PHOTO we had one commenter set us straight. The best $2k'er in question didn't in fact spend $2k that weekend....he spent well over $10k!:

Aww...what is a friend for if not to make sure all the money you spent get properly documented? I can't keep track of all the different girls he met this weekend....

What is amazing to me is how Chris and this "friend" managed to miss the whole point of the person's original "set us straight" comment. I remember it as I thought the same thing. The point of the comment in "Cliff Note" form is the following: If you dance like you are having a good time you are laughed at and called out. (thanks to guest of a guest "best 2K I ever spent and insult people for it in the process") If you sit and look miserable (like the photo you used in this instance of best 2K) you are also called out. (and the photo posted here was not the photo used). The actual dollar spent never had anything to do with it. Here is a little bit of journalism advice. If you are ever going to quote someone responding to a statement (regarding chris' comment). Put the statement that they are responding and not just the response. Where were you educated at the New York Times?

Everyone relax. Its all good fun, no one is pointing fingers or making fun of people. Rather quite the opposite, we're living vicariously and trying to enjoy their fun collectively.
