Before the siren song of Montauk lured New York's moneyed and bored all the way out East, it used to be that Southampton was the nightlife spot of The Hamptons.
Well, the tides may just be turning. Johnny Lennon and Luke Sosnowsky are bringing GoldBar to the former Nelly's space, perched just at the edge of Southampton Village. One of the longest running lounges in the city, the Little Italy late night spot previewed its new beach home last Saturday, hosting the official afterparty for the Palm Tree Festival.
This weekend, they'll be debuting for real, with NVM taking the stage Saturday at 11PM, and DJ Cassidy on Sunday, same time.
As far as we can tell, there's no wall of gilded skulls, but hey - at least there's a disco ball!
