Thursday night, Steven Alan and Babo Botanicals came together to host a private and charitable shopping night at Steven Alan's East Hampton store. The premium child care line Babo Botanicals and Steven Alan couture had discounted products available to purchase for their invited guests. All proceeds went straight to Alice Water's Edible Schoolyard, a NYC organization that builds organic farms in urban schools. The organization strives to teach children from kindergarten to fifth grade how to grow their own foods and prepare easy and healthy meal options. More»

But one of the longest lines of them all wrapped the BookHampton shop in East Hampton on Friday afternoon. There was no agitated impatience on this line, as eager fans waited for the meet and greet with Oscar winner turned author, Gwyneth Paltrow. She gladly signed copies of her recently completed project, a collection of 150 recipes, called "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness."
