Joel purchased the house back in 2007 for $16.8 million dollars. Originally he listed the property at $22.5 million, but after it failed to sell the price was lowered a first time to $19.9 million. The house continued to sit on the market, and in January, Joel made the decision to lower the asking price to $18.5 million. Today the house is still not budging and the asking price has been set for $16.8 million. Ouch! At this point, the best would be for Joel to break even. [via]
