For those of you who may not be familiar with common Hamptons know-how, the town name of Sagaponack is actually Native American for 'wealth up the nose.' And for proof of this absurd point, we offer up the latest listing to hit the East End. Designer Elie Tahari's beachside home - a 4,500-square-foot barn with three bedrooms, and three bathrooms - can now be yours, and all for the modest, affordable price of... $45 million

Sure it's got a 60-foot lap pool. Sure it's got a small outdoor basketball court. And sure, it's got 250 feet of beach frontage. But considering we didn't notice any mention of a room with $30 million sitting in it anywhere on the listing, we've zero idea how the hell they got to that asking price.

You know what they say - ask and you, like, maybe will but probably won't receive. Considering even more that Tahari bought the property back in 2005 for $12.5 million, we're sure this perfectly lovely abode will be sitting pretty on the market for quite some time. So no rush to see about that bank loan.
