Hamptons TV Stardom on Royal Pains

by BRITTA LOFGREN · May 5, 2010

Okay, so the title may be a bit misleading.  But stardom is a relative term, right?  Thanks to an open call from Hamptons-centered TV drama Royal Pains, back again this season, this might just be the summer for your 15 minutes of Hamptons fame.

Whether you used to do Toys 'R' Us commercials as a child, just graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, or perhaps have no prior acting experience but really, really want to be on TV, Royal Pains is looking for local talent to fill spots as extras for a few big episodes being shot on the east end this summer.  As per a letter sent to local news outlet Dan's Papers, the ideal background actor is a wealthy vacationer, upscale Hamptonite, young and attractive socialite, experienced boater, or bikini-bodied beach-goer.  We're thinking most Hamptons natives will be too busy with their own vacationing, socializing, boating, and beach-going to act the parts on TV, but thankfully we have our Guest of a Guest Hamptons team already preparing their applications.  USA Network, you can thank us later. Also, if hunky doctors-for-hire don't get you excited, the new film adaptation of the bestseller Something Borrowed will also be shooting out east.  Same qualifications requested.
