Dine: China Club

A staple in the Hong Kong, Sir David Tang's China Club has lasted over 25 years in the city's fickle scene for a reason. This retro style members' only club located in The Old Bank of China pays homage to 1930s Shanghai with its cool art deco interiors. Stepping into this place is like stepping back in time, save for the incredible collection of contemporary art from the Tang family's private collection. The top floor terrace is a seriously cool spot for a drink surrounded by Hong Kong's crazy tall high rises in Central. Delicious Cantonese classics, including some Westernized Chinese dishes, are served here, complemented by a lengthy Old and New World wine list. A live band entertains each evening, punctuated with a ten minute gimmicky tea pouring and noodle making show which everyone secretly loves.
