The process of becoming can be tainted and miserable at times, and more often than not is juggled along with intense social pressure. John Galliano's time was due - a fantastic fashion designer, one of the greats of our time, he was almost crippled with addiction and depression. Hiding underground for a number of years, he finally emerged in spring 2013 from Oscar de la Renta's studio, glowing as he never had before. It was a time where the fashion industry was not 100 percent ready to take him back. He had to prove himself. Not just as a designer, but as a man of his word. The response was mixed. Many loved him, many still hated him. In October of last year, Renzo Russo announced Galliano would take over at the house of Margiela. It came as a delight to most in the industry, and it was a fine reassurance to him that we were ready for his return. Today he showed in London, where his roots in design began at Central Saint Martins, to a crowd of 100 of his closest and oldest supporters. It was a fine setting for a couture collection, nonetheless Margiela, known for his non-traditional genius.

Starlets, models, pop stars, rock stars, and more came together last night to celebrate the one thing they all have in common: FASHION. The 2014 British Fashion Awards ceremony was held at the London Coliseum, where guests including Anna Wintour, Emma Watson, and Cara Delevingne were honored by the British Fashion Council for their stylish achievements. A star-studded reception followed, where unlikely duo, Courtney Love and Lana Del Rey, were practically inseparable - that following a mini-feud between the two musicians last year. Rihanna laughed along with Naomi Campbell, while Harry Styles reportedly flirted with Kendall Jenner (who can blame him?). Click through for an inside look at one of the year's biggest events in fashion!
Last night, guests attended the 60th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards at London Palladium dressed in their best formal ensembles. The event, which awarded Best Actor to Tom Hiddleston for Coriolanus, as well as Best Actress to Gillian Anderson for her role as Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, featured quite the impressive list of fashionable guests. Notables included Victoria and David Beckham, Anna Wintour, Suki Waterhouse, Naomi Campbell, Sienna Miller, Anna Kendrick, and more. London Fashion Week got off to a very stylish start on Friday thanks to Lauren Santo Domingo and the launch of the London outpost of Moda Operandi, the online retailer with a cult-like following. The co-founder and international "It" girl called upon her fashionable friends to help celebrate the company's first brick-and-mortar location in London, which will serve as a private salon for shopping and events. Poppy Delevingne, Derek Blasberg, and Daphne Guinness were among the guests who enjoyed the cocktail portion of the event at the Belgravia space, before heading to a very glamorous dinner at the Pompadour Ballroom at the Café Royal. Alexa Chung, Mario Testino, and Mary Charteris were all in attendance, making this one of the first big fêtes of Fashion Week.
