London Fashion Week got off to a very stylish start on Friday thanks to Lauren Santo Domingo and the launch of the London outpost of Moda Operandi, the online retailer with a cult-like following. The co-founder and international "It" girl called upon her fashionable friends to help celebrate the company's first brick-and-mortar location in London, which will serve as a private salon for shopping and events. Poppy Delevingne, Derek Blasberg, and Daphne Guinness were among the guests who enjoyed the cocktail portion of the event at the Belgravia space, before heading to a very glamorous dinner at the Pompadour Ballroom at the Café Royal. Alexa Chung, Mario Testino, and Mary Charteris were all in attendance, making this one of the first big fêtes of Fashion Week.

We were devastated this afternoon when we got the news from across the pond that the always effervescent Peaches Geldof had passed away. The young mother of two, who was only 25 years old, is the daughter of Irish rock star Bob Geldof and has been a fixture on the British society scene with her sister, Pixie, since they were teenagers. But don't be mistaken, Peaches wasn't one for being famous just because she was famous. She made a name for herself writing for Elle, the Telegraph, the Guardian, and Nylon, as well as hosting various television shows in the U.K.

For the second consecutive night, we saw some seriously fierce fashion from across the pond. Fresh off the heels of Tuesday night's Elle Style Awards, London kept the party going with the 2014 Brit Awards on Wednesday.
