Slide #1

Alan Shields
His first show on the West Coast in four decades, the late Alan Shields (1944-2005) will have his sculptural pieces, conceptual word drawings, free-hanging paintings and pulped paper works on display at Cherry and Martin. Using colorful mixed media materials, Shields wanted his pieces to be suspended in space and for the viewers to be able to move around his work. Get more perspectives on Shields' work by visiting Cherry and Martin this weekend. Opening reception: Saturday, November 23, 2013 (4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) November 23, 2013 - January 11, 2014 Cherry and Martin Gallery 2712 S. La Cienega Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90034 [Photo via]
