Come to Downtown Los Angeles and celebrate our city’s deep and rich tradition with the sport of basketball! The Los Angeles Arts and Athletics Alliance (LAAAA) presents 3on3LA, a day of hoop dreams inspired by the NCAA’s ’The Big Dance.’ Saturday, April 2nd, from 10:00am to 6:00pm, 3on3LA Bracketball will feature free, open-court 3-on-3 basketball games for all ages and skill levels in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. A special opportunity to get your picture taken with the famous John R. Wooden Award offers attendees the ability to capture a part of history, celebrating basketball greats like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, as well as recent NBA stars Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin. Events and activities include: ”¢ Four half-court, 3-on-3 basketball courts for open play; sign-ups available on-site, first come, first served. Courts will be split up by age and ability level. ”¢ See the famous John R. Wooden Award, given to the top college basketball players each year since 1976 The 3on3LA Bracketball will be held at the Paragon Parking Lot, 434 Spring Street between 4th and 5th Streets, and runs from 10:00am until 6:00pm on Saturday, April 2nd - just before a showdown between two former Wooden Award winners, as Blake Griffin and the LA Clippers take on Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Staples Center.
