Description
Hot off the heels of Thom Yorke spinning a secret show on the venue’s upstairs stage last month, The Airliner will house the first ever Brokechella, a Los Angeles based alternative to Coachella, that will provide the broke music lovers of our city with an opportunity to see high caliber local bands provide a set of part original music, part covers of their favorite Coachella-performing acts, resulting in a no-holds-barred evening high on talent, beer and food but low on pretension, cost and distance. Featuring one food truck, two bars and three stages, Brokechella will also feature LA’s finest underground stand up comedy, DJs, and visual artists, who will be both displaying previous pieces and creating work live. Attending Brokechella can be yours for the hefty price tag of $5. Brought you to by The Ahimsa Collective and RentFoodBroke, featuring free otter pops, drink specials, and the food stylings of The Grilled Cheese Truck. For the complete line up and to purchase tickets, head to http://ahimsacollective.com/brokechella.php ***** Brokechella is part of The Ahimsa Collective’s Community Pool series at the Airliner, downtown art parties designed to bring the youth scene of this city together in a raucus celebration of art, music, comedy, food, drink and the fact that we’re lucky enough to live somewhere where we are free to pursue our artistic endeavors and be surrounded by like minded individuals dedicated to supporting those endeavors. *****
