Burgeoning icon Sasha Grey celebrates the release of her first photography book NEÜ SEX with a 2-day gallery showing. The first night is by invitation only for friends and press. The following night will be open to Grey’s fans, launching the release with a public book signing.
In NEÜ SEX, Grey, along with partner Ian P. Cinnamon, turns the camera on herself and her environment, producing an extensive catalog of self-reflective images. Coupled with her personal writings on sexuality, identity and personal liberty, the photos form a narrative of Sasha’s irrepressible spirit and relentless energy. By drawing inspiration from luminaries like Cindy Sherman and Nan Goldin, NEÜ SEX delivers a unique memoir of Grey’s ascent to cultural icon through her pop art photography.
Through NEÜ SEX, Grey invites the reader to share her point of view via the mode of a camera lens. Some of others, most of Grey, this is Sasha Grey, as honest, as unscripted and unfiltered as she comes.
