Saint Motel, LA Weekly, 98.7, and Holy God will be presenting “Judgment Day” at the Roxy on May 21st. Harold Camping’s Family Radio has claimed May 21st 2011 will be the Earth’s “Judgment Day” and in honor of the occasion, Saint Motel, one of LA’s marquee indie groups, is hosting an exciting end-of-the-world-style party. The band will be showcasing their addictive summer anthem “Puzzle Pieces,” which has been making a lot of noise in the press and on stations such as KCRW, KROQ, and 98.7 in recent weeks.
Saint Motel is coming off of a great SXSW, including shows with Fitz & The Tantrums, Neon Trees, She Wants Revenge, and the Limousines. They recently sold out their 3rd annual Valentine’s show “Zombie Prom,” toured with Band Of Skulls and Nico Vega, and appeared on KCRW's “Morning Becomes Eclectic.” They are currently finishing work on new recordings, of which the first single “Puzzle Pieces” has been downloaded over 30,000 times in a matter of weeks, cracked the top 10 on Hype Machine's Popular chart, and hit #1 on Hype Machine's Twitter chart. Saint Motel is also hard at work on their new music video for “Puzzle Pieces” and recently finished recording an episode of “Guitar Center Sessions” with Nic Harcourt to air this summer on DirecTV's 101 Network.
