Come watch the Los Angeles premiere of the award-winning documentary ’Splinters’, at the historic Aero Theatre on Friday, Feb 3 at 7:30 pm!
Presented by SnagFilms, Splinters follows four surfers from Papua New Guinea as they compete not only for a spot on the Papua New Guinea National Surfing team, but at a chance of a better life. Two decades after an Australian pilot left behind a surfboard in the seaside village of Vanimo, surfing has evolved into a way to escape a country with limited running water and even more limited opportunities. The journey between friends Angelus, Ezekiel, and sisters Lesley and Susan is an adventure not to be missed.
A Q&A discussion with director Adam Pesce and producer Perrin Chiles will follow the screening.
