Kahn, who is writer-in-residence for The Series and co-author of Collage Culture, assembled Kate Durbin, Mathew Timmons, Dina Hardy, Noah Gershman, Ana Reyes (poems featured in The Best Of Foliate Oak and Danse Macabre), and Jeff Hoffman (former Stegner Fellow at Stanford and winner of the 2010 New Issues Poetry Prize) to take part in several one-on-one, audience/poet installations--a break from the traditional “writer reads, you listen” format that readings often take.
The evening will end with noted composer Ali Helnwein and members of the Traction Avenue Chamber Orchestra performing a live original composition by Helnwein and written for Kahn's text.
