The Paley Center for Media hosted a very special premiere event Monday night with the all-star cast and creators of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2. The night was made complete with a panel discussion moderated by Kevin Smith where Batman stars Ariel Winter and Peter Weller answered questions shoulder to shoulder with the creative forces behind the legendary comic book superhero franchise.

Last night, British photographer Rankin showcased his vision presented by Leica at a private viewing of his last US gallery show, an exhibition of full-scale versions of his photographs included in "The Rankin Issue" of S-Magazine. In collaboration with nine world renowned hairstylists, Rankin captured the beauty, art and aesthetics of hairstyle and bold fashion in his spread for the special issue which he guest edited. Cocktails, friends and captivating images were the ingredients to a successful kickoff for the final exhibition at Rankin's Melrose gallery which heads back to the UK in March.

On Saturday, two days before President Obama's Inauguration, EarthWE.com hosted their extraordinarily colorful "A Green Term, Mr. President" event in Downtown L.A. As its name suggests, the eco-mission at the heart of the technicolor day-long event which featured live painting, musicians, and a performance by Ozomatli, was a call to elevate the importance of global warming within the Obama administration's agenda as it begins a second term.

The young Frenchman swooped into the downtown venue like a seasoned pro, demonstrating his mastery of electronic-meets-house pop music to captivate the room with euphoric beats into the wee hours. The 4th Annual Taste Awards a.k.a. the Tasty Awards took place Thursday night at Vibiana Cathedral in Downtown L.A. Honoring both personalities and shows who represent the best in food, fashion, and lifestyle programs on TV, online, in film, and on radio, the awards had a lot on their plates to dish, so celebrating with a proper after party following the award presentation was certainly in order.

The International Los Angeles Photographic Art Exposition photo l.a. kicked off its 22nd year with a benefit gala at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium last night. A reception that featured music by the Allah-las, food by L.A. chef Fred Eric, and yes, even tequila, helped to celebrate and honor legendary photographers Phil Stern and Bill Eppridge and launch the annual art fair.

Hey, you guys... The season 2 premiere of "Girls" is only a couple of days away. Are you stoked? Because we are. Last night, HBO and Flavorpill teamed up to throw a celebration of the show's return at the Bootleg Theater where guests were treated to a top-secret surprise screening of the first episode. We were there but we're keeping our big mouths shut on what happens this coming season so you can enjoy it when it airs on Sunday, but we will say it was awesome.
