Following a glorious weekend of warmth and brilliant sunshine, L.A.'s summery weather trend continues which means perfect beach day conditions. Catching a full day of rays on the sand may conflict with things like a job or school, but perhaps you can sneak away for lunch or hit the coastline for a sunset happy hour after? So, in case you missed it or forgot where to make that happen, here's a friendly reminder of our top 16 beachside bars and restaurants. More»

Although nothing like yesterday's completely insane temperatures, it looks like today will be the last of the raging heat wave and we encourage you to take advantage by heading for the coastline. We're not suggesting you ditch work or school for a full day at the beach, but maybe just get close enough to one for this evening's sunset over food or drinks or perhaps a lunch date. To help you make this happen, we've rounded up of our favorite spots for boozing at dining by the beach, from Malibu to Marina del Rey. Whether for beach day grub or post-workday drinks, check out L.A.'s 16 best beachside bars and restaurants. More»

Following an absolute scorcher of a weekend, L.A.'s going to be even hotter today, with less stifling but still warm temperatures carrying pretty much through the week. We hope you found a way to enjoy the "summerlike" conditions of the last few days with something involving a beach and encourage you to head for the coast while they last. You may not be able to ditch work or school for a full day at the beach, but you can at least get close enough to one at some point to appreciate it, specifically over food or drinks. The gloomy rain situation currently covering Los Angeles makes that perfect summer beach day weather we were lucky enough to be granted last week seem so far away. And I think feeling confused when changes in the weather over a span of a few days necessitate entirely different wardrobes is completely valid. Unfortunately, the forecast for this week doesn't really begin to warm up until the weekend, so in the meantime us L.A. weather wimps must find a way to cope, and we suggest doing so with a jolt of caffeine in a hot cup of joe. Allow us to assist you with this list of seven of L.A.'s top coffee destinations for expertly crafted brews. [photos via @josiahjames, via, via]

In case you haven't stepped outside yet today, Mother Nature has brought Los Angeles some nice "summerlike" weather in which to bask this week and through the weekend. With the sun out and the temperatures in the 90s (!), it's making for some ideal beach day conditions and we hope you take advantage. While you're out there, you're probably going to want to grab some drinks and food to round out the day and we're to help with those plans. So whether you're already scouting out a spot on SoCal's famous coastline near the shore or are good admiring it from afar but don't actually want to make contact with sand, following our earlier roundup of eight, here's a guide to eight more of L.A.'s best beachside restaurants and bars from Marina Del Rey to Malibu that are GofG L.A.-approved.

It may not be summer just yet, but "summerlike" is the colorful word Accuweather is using to describe L.A.'s delightful forecast for the week, so we'll take it. As far as we are concerned, if it's shorts-and-sandals weather with the sun staying out well past the workday, aside from the absence of Lakers games since they put their historically horrendous season out of its misery in the first round of playoffs, there's almost no difference between the real thing. We strongly encourage you maximize these gorgeous days through one of our favorite pastimes in an open-air setting: happy hour-ing. After you've put in a full day's work (or even if you're funemployed), hit up one of L.A.'s seven best bars and restaurants for patio and rooftop happy hours where you can enjoy the summerlike air under the sunset with food and drinks for totally reasonable prices. Irish or not, the people of Los Angeles are getting excited for St. Patrick's Day this weekend and it's going to be pretty wild at most alcohol-serving establishments in honor of the holiday. After all, the annual celebration is mostly about pounding beer as long as you can stand upright, but did you know there are some places in this city where it's St. Patty's Day year-round? Although this is also true of USC's Kappa Sig house, we're actually talking about the many Irish pubs, both new and old, scattered across town where they don't need a holiday to serve an endless supply of Guinness and Bushmills whiskey. So, in honor of St. Patrick, here are eight of L.A.'s best Irish pubs and restaurants to check out and try your luck any day of the year. [Photo via @thrillski]
