Tom Cruise vs. South Park
Tom Cruise and the creators of South Park start beefs with everyone in Hollywood, so it was only a matter of time before they went head to head. South Park aired an episode called "Trapped In The Closet" which took shots at Scientology and it's allegedly closeted members, including Tom Cruise. Throughout the episode, the disturbing beliefs of Scientology were brought to light and sporadically they flashed a sign that said "Scientologists ACTUALLY believe this" to let the audience know that in no way were they making this crazy shit up. In turn, Tom Cruise threaten to sue South Park and told the show's parent company, Viacom, that he would refuse to promote his Mission Impossible threequel, which the company was also overseeing. Viacom pulled the episode, but clearly Tom Cruise didn't take into account that literally no one watches television anymore when they could easily watch it at a more convenient time online.
