What we do already know, based on the "Born To Die" single and music video, is that she's going for an image that could probably best be described as a hipster wet dream: a purring, sultry, drugged-out and slightly sinister vibe that seems to channel Billie Holiday by way of Amy Winehouse. And as far as we can judge from the first few tracks (see also "Video Games," and "Blue Jeans"), it has the potential to be wildly successful. The music is haunting, catchy and completely hypnotic. There's just one little problem...

Ugh, I can't help it. Im bored to death. It's like "daddy, buy me a hit record" oh "and I'm cross eyed!" Okay, she probably didn't say the second part, but hasn't anyone noticed???? The droning songs, the overplayed video; yawn, yawn yawn... I hope Lana Del Rey, marries a nice investment banker and moves to, oh, I don't know, somewhere like Marina Del Rey where she can blend in with all the soccer moms, which is exactly what she was raised to be.
