As promised, last night's AFEX brought the funk to the weekly Thursday night throwdown. Although there were no MC Hammer-inspired genie pants or visible flattop 'dos you can still marvel at on "Fresh Prince" reruns, the night was all about 80s to mid-90s hip hop.
Crane's Hollywood Tavern hosted the party filled with guests who came out to enjoy their 40s of Old English in brown paper bags, break it down on the dance floor, and complimentary Philly Blunts. They were probably just as charmed as we were by resident DJ Adam 12's exemplary Facebook event message. Such a compelling notification of the night would make it difficult for anyone to pass on the party.
