With a positive spirit behind its frankly named "A Green Term, Mr. President," EarthWE's event made its purpose clear:
"[to send] a message straight to the Obama administration highlighting the severity and reality of global warming."
The schedule of events comprising the day-long pre-Inaugural call to action held at the 130-year-old Vibiana Cathedral included an African/Aztec ceremony, DJ sets, ecstatic dance, live sets by electronic musician Auradrone, and something called earth harp, which we're not ashamed of YouTubing. An organic food truck providing bites to eat for donation was also on hand to round out the Eco-centric day.
Keep clicking through our slideshow for a closer look at all the day's festivities.
