From L.A. To The Desert: GenericAmerica July 4th Weekend

While many staycationed this weekend, celebrating the 4th with local pool parties, music fest block parties and beach gatherings, some ventured beyond the wilds of L.A., seeking sanctuary in a land most of us have only ever been to around Coachella time or to visit grandparents: Palm Springs.  The Desert's Ace Hotel hosted the GenericAmerica July 4th Weekend celebration where all the bases for an enjoyable getaway were covered.

There, guests lounged by the pool as DJs spun tunes and servers circulated with cocktail and lunch orders. For those who needed some quality R&R, the red, white and blue pool floaties provided the perfect napping havens in the laid back atmosphere. And to balance out the lazy, tranquil afternoons, late-night parties gave guests the chance to get in some healthy raging before heading back to L.A.
