India Hicks & Louise Roe Celebrate West Coast Launch Of India Hicks Luxury Lifestyle Brand

Last week, fashion icon and designer, India Hicks invited her Los Angeles brand ambassadors and friends to an evening of sipping and shopping at the Palihouse in West Hollywood for the unveiling of her new collection. Guests enjoyed an assortment of cocktails and light bites, while perusing the fashion collection. Garbed in a black lace jumpsuit, Hicks went around the room and graciously thanked friends and collaborators for their support before presenting items from the collection that guests could shop that evening. The collection is composed of leather goods, accessories, jewelry and beauty products.

"Most of the inspiration comes from my British heritage, and my runaway island story, and I guess, quite a lot of my madcap dreams," Hicks says.

Though it is hard for her to choose her favorite item in the collection, Hicks did zero-in on a few staple pieces including The Duchess of Windsor computer bag, the Carmen Clutch, and the Casuarina candle.

"I love our candles – we have a new candle out called the Casuarina, and I think that it captures the whole spirit of our very free-spirited lifestyle company."

Throughout the evening guests mingled and shopped while having the opportunity to chat with Hicks and her good friend, Louise Roe. Guests were also spotted snapping photos with George Hamilton and flipping through the India Hicks catalog.

Hicks says one of her favorite things about being a designer is the creativity. "I love the creative process, from concept to production through to actually selling it."

The lively event continued through the evening underneath dreamy Palihouse patio lights.

Who was there: Guests included British style icon and designer of her self-entitled line, India Hicks, fashion stylist and television personality, Louise Roe, Hollywood Legend, George Hamilton, as well as Nathan Turner, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Napper Tandy, and more.
