Slide #1

Following the success of October's L.A. Moves production at The Broad Stage which showcased some of L.A.'s most talented artists in the fields of music and dance, an exciting new project is in the pipeline for The Barak Ballet. Last night, Artistic Director Melissa Barak took the floor before a group of her biggest supporters to share the news at an exclusive cocktail party at the spectacular home of hostess Diane Forester. Co-hosted by Rachel Weber, Maya Varnell, and Nancy Gregory, guests sipped on champagne and enjoyed the spread of gourmet bites as Barak spoke on the ballet's performance slated for June. The forthcoming production will feature new work by Barak in collaboration with High School Musical composer David Lawrence, followed by another premiere by New York City-based choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie. Keep your ears to the ground for more details on the premiere performances of The Barak Ballet's upcoming project. In the meantime, click through the slideshow for a closer look at last night's gathering and visit our photo gallery for complete coverage.
