The Concern Foundation is an incredible non-profit organization that has raised over $50 million for cancer research, providing funds for 650 cancer research projects around the world. For the past 39 years, Concern has thrown a block party fundraiser in the heart of Los Angeles to support their mission. With A Salute To Television as the theme this year, Concern held it on the "New York City" back lot of Paramount Pictures Studios and went all out with libations and entertainment. More than 60 caterers and restaurants including Tinga, Pink's Famous Hot Dogs, Sushi Roku, The Grill on The Alley and BLVD 16 to name a few, were on hand for guests to indulge in their culinary specialties. Among the musical entertainment held on four different stages was the Paul McDonald Big Band featuring Tom Nolan, a 17-piece band playing everything from R&B to New Orleans jazz. As if that wasn't enough, the 3,500 guests at the Block Party also enjoyed dancing, casino games, a live auction of exciting and luxurious packages and items, plus a silent action with prizes ranging from wine to acupuncture treatments. Throughout the night, guests sipped on beverages provided by Stella Artois, Tanqueray, and Grand Avenue Coffee, among others and enjoyed a sweet ending with delicious desserts from DeLuscious Cookies + Milk, Cookies for a Koz, and Dandy Don's Homemade Ice Cream.
