It's no secret L.A.'s fashion industry is not at quite the same level as NYC's. Case in point: our fashion week of bikini shows in nightclubs with Playboy Bunnies vs. fashion house runway shows with supermodels and Karl Lagerfeld at NYC's. We do, however, have our moments, like yesterday's Ports 1961 spring 2011 preview at the ever-elegant and distinctly L.A. Petit Ermitage.
The dreamy little hotel nestled away in a tree-lined residential area of West Hollywood neighborhood was the perfect spot for a intimate, sophisticated fashion event. Guests admired the Ports 1961 spring collection straight off the runway and shopped the line's looks. The event was complete with champagne, hors d'oeuvres, and models mingling in with the guests. NYC can keep their epic fashion week since we have the chicest little fashion soirees. And 70-degree weather in November.
