Last Night's Parties: Forbes Fetes Bethenny Frankel, Khloe & Lamar, Elle Fanning Celebrates 'Super 8' With Spielberg Past Bedtime

by Emily Green · June 9, 2011

It was as if L.A. was a full-blown parody of itself last night with a host of events across town all relating the one greater cause dearest to every Angeleno's heart: the promotion of show business, of course.  "Skinny Girl" Bethenny Frankel gets to know the real Khloe and Lamar while Gene Simmons keeps his tongue to himself at Forbes' fete for entertainment's mogul-iest celebrity moguls; Elle Fanning parties way past bedtime with some fellow tweens and grownups at the premiere and after party for Super 8; meanwhile, Anna Kendrick, Stephan Gaghan and Robert Redford step out to raise funds for Sundance in Beverly Hills—see how the Industry celebrated itself on just another Wednesday night in Hollywood at last night's biggest parties in town.

The 1st Annual Forbes' Celebrity 100 Event: The Entrepreneur Behind The Icon [Go HERE for a full gallery of photos from the night!]

Where: Drai's

Who Was There: Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, Bethenny Frankel, Tyrese Gibson, Gene Simmons, Nick Simmons, Shannon Tweed, Melissa Rivers, Terrell Owens, Regina King, Laila Ali, Kenya Moore, Shaun Robinson, Mike Perlis, Alex Donnelley, Ben Silverman, and Kristen Dalton.

Other Details: As the first event celebrating Forbes' Celebrity 100, comprised of famous faces who have earned themselves a coveted spot on the list by using their celebrity to promote their top-earning brands. Held on some very familiar turf surrounding the pool on the roof the W Hollywood at Drai's, Bethenny Frankel spent some quality time with fellow honoree Khloe Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom. We think it probably went something like this: Khloe leaned in close to Bethenny and said, "I'm not really a drag queen, I just play one on TV" to which Bethenny replied, "you tawkin' ta me?", and Lamar just kinda stared off into space, and it wasn't even a little bit awkward because they were each 12 Skinny Girl Margaritas deep.

Super 8 Premiere & After Party

Where: Regency Village Theater

Who Was There: Elle Fanning, Chris Pine, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso, J.J. Abrams, Ron Eldard, Kyle Chandler, Ryan Lee, Adam Goodman, Rob Moore, Alyson Michalka, Amanda Michalka, Jeff Garlin, Ben Gavin, Bill Hader, Bodhi Elfman, Constance Zimmer, David Gallagher, Jaime King James Caviezel, Jenna Elfman, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Joel Courtney, Jon Favreau, Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, Pete Wentz, and Kate Capshaw.

Other Details: All we're saying is there *might* be some tension in the Fanning household since Elle Fanning seems to be hogging the spotlight. Last night she was out wayyyy past her curfew to celebrate the premiere of her new Spielberg flick in Westwood and older sister was a no-show. This must be rough for her, you know being over the hill and everything, and then a twerp kid sister swoops in to steal her thunder with Sofia Coppola and Spielberg projects left and right. Guys, I'm concerned about Dakota... [Riley Griffiths, Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning photo via]
