Slide #1

Flor Hernandez, Patrick Mayworm, Wesley Johnson The Left Shoe Company hasn't missed a beat since it landed on Melrose earlier this month. Following the grand opening celebration of its first U.S. location over Father's Day Weekend, the made-to-measure men's footwear store again opened its doors Tuesday night for further festivities, this time with mix master Chris Douridas on board for The Inaugural Music Series. Welcoming the public out to their new home on Melrose, The Left Shoe Company's Inaugural Music Series presented guests with a night of music, craft beer, food truck delicacies, and high-tech fun with customized footwear. KCRW's Chris Douridas spun some smooth jams while a stylish set of Angelenos arrived and socialized with Left Shoe president, Patrick Mayworm. Attendees had the opportunity to have their feet scanned by the state-of-the-art 3D scanner which takes over 150 images to create the perfect custom shoe. Matt Brown, owner of Brouwerij West, handed out samples of his delicious craft beer, brewed in San Jose with plans to open a 'brouwerij' in Long Beach. Party goers were also treated to complimentary sliders and garlic fries from Me So Hungry Food Truck. While the guests dined, indie-pop duo, Anders and Kendall, mesmerized the audience with their sweet acoustic sound. If the first few weeks of The Left Shoe Company's tenure on Melrose are any indication, we can't wait to see what music-, interactive fun-, and libation-filled events the new store has up its sleeve.
