[All photos by Andreas Branch for PMc]. Last night Women in Film held its third annual pre-Oscar cocktail party at a private residence in Los Angeles.

Ladies of the silver screen including Gabourey Sidibe, Camilla Belle, Mena Suvari (sporting a very interesting hairdo which appeared to obstruct her vision...whoops), Angie Harmon, Nia Vardalos, Ali Landry, Michelle Rodriguez and Marlee Matlin saluted their fellow female actors at the soiree.

Also on hand was Ryan Kwanten, the True Blood standout. While he didn't exactly blend in, it's probably something to which he's grown accustomed. Crazed fans are loving everything that haunts the night, these days.

Mingling with the beaming beauties, the whole group was obviously abuzz with who is taking the golden statuettes, this weekend. With nominees including Kathryn Bigelow, there's solid representation from the females.

Empowering, promoting and mentoring women in entertainment and media, the host organization knows that not even Hollywood can keep a good woman down.
